FITTING IT

  1. Unscrew your old head from the pipe by hand.
  2. Wrap the pipe thread with the Teflon tape, two or three turns.
  3. Screw the mount onto the pipe and hand-tighten.
  4. Attach one end of the hose to the mount, the other to the shower head.
  5. Run the water and check both joints.

No tools and no plumber. If a joint weeps, undo it, add one more turn of tape and retighten.
